Privacy Policy
How Rise4Life handles your data, honest, sober, and only what is needed.
1. What we collect
Rise4Life collects as little personal data as possible. Concretely, we may process the following:
- Contact form: your name, email, organisation (optional), and the message you send
- Lead magnet (The Garden download): your first name and email
- Donations: if you donate by bank transfer, we see your name, IBAN and any reference
- Website statistics: anonymised visit data (pages, device type, country), no personal profiles
2. Why we use your data
- To answer your question or message
- To send you The Garden as a download
- To send you occasional updates (max. 1× per month) about the Eindhoven Declaration and the network, only if you explicitly subscribe
- To improve the website based on anonymised usage patterns
3. What we don't do
- We do not sell your data to third parties
- We do not share your data with partner organisations without your consent
- We do not track you across other websites with advertising cookies
- We do not use profile-based tracking
4. Retention periods
We do not keep your data longer than necessary:
- Contact messages: maximum 2 years
- Newsletter subscriptions: until you unsubscribe
- Donation records: 7 years (legal requirement for Dutch foundations)
5. Cookies
This website uses minimal cookies:
- Functional cookies: only to remember your cookie choice
- No analytical or advertising cookies unless you explicitly consent
- Embed cookies (YouTube, Spotify, Google Maps): these third parties may place their own cookies when you view or play their embedded content. Read their own privacy policies for details.
6. Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to:
- Access what data we hold about you
- Rectification of incorrect data
- Erasure of your data (unless we are legally required to retain it)
- Object to processing
- Data portability

7. Security
We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data against loss or unlawful processing. In the event of a data breach, we inform those involved and the Dutch Data Protection Authority within the legal timeframe.
8. Filing a complaint
Not satisfied with how we handle your data? Contact us first via info@rise4life.eu, we'd like to resolve it together. You always have the right to file a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority.
9. Changes
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. The latest version is always on this page, with the date of the most recent change at the top.
